Case Studies
Where we shipped this
Case studies from 11 years of building software for clients including a $1B+ US-based sports operations platform, MyFlyRight, and Unfold. Real outcomes, real metrics.
Some of our work ships under NDA. If you've flown Boeing, driven BMW, or used Google — you've used software our engineers helped build. We can't show you those projects. We can show you these.
Free Stuff Finder
We built the iOS and Android apps from scratch. The product grew to 2M+ installs and reached the #2 position among coupon apps in the US App Store. COVID accelerated organic growth. The app evolved from a simple deal aggregator into a social-driven savings platform with user-generated content, wishlists, and community features.
Greek House
The founder came to us after the previous team stalled releases to once every few months. We reviewed the codebase, set up CI/CD, and started shipping the same week. Four years later: Inc. 5000 multiple years running, official licensing with US colleges, same-day release capability during rush season, and a successful acquisition in 2024. The founder is now building his next company with us.
HeyTutor
Two non-technical Forbes 30 Under 30 founders came to us in 2016 with a spec on one page of A4 paper. We extended it to 40 pages, built the platform from scratch, and served as de facto CTO for 9 years. 10,000+ tutors, 10,000+ students, tens of thousands of sessions per month. Secured LAUSD, the largest US school district.
Meal4U
The previous team failed to deliver. The founders flew from Denmark to Ukraine to evaluate what could be saved. We spent a week deconstructing the product with them in the room, cut 30-50% of scope per iteration, rebuilt the iOS and Android apps, and shipped a configurable menu engine that calculates ingredients, modifiers, discounts, and dynamic pricing in real time.
MOTTIV
Taren Gesell (Triathlon Taren, 200K YouTube subscribers) came to us with designs and a business idea. No prior codebase. We built the entire product from scratch: iOS app, backend services, and QA. Two years of development. Personalized training plans for triathlon, marathon, running, and cycling. 10,000+ athlete community. Offline workout mode for training without internet.
MyFlyRight
We inherited a jQuery prototype in 2016 and built the platform from scratch on React and Laravel. The claims wizard guides passengers through algorithm-driven eligibility assessment. Eligible cases go directly to lawyers. Over 1 million claims processed across all EU airlines and jurisdictions. MyFlyRight is one of the top 10 Hamburg-based startups.
Nautical Commerce
Nautical Commerce raised $30M from Drive Capital to build a marketplace-as-a-service platform. We picked up the one-year-old codebase with 7 engineers, rebuilt the frontend, added payment processing, multi-currency, multi-language, and tax logic. Made the platform enterprise-grade and SOC 2 ready. 200K+ monthly transactions. Nautical's assets were later acquired by Traide.
Ripe
Ripe was a functioning catering business in Manhattan before we wrote a line of code. DigitalOcean, MongoDB, and Kickstarter were paying customers. We built the entire platform from scratch in 2016: ordering, kitchen operations, delivery tracking, and billing. Supported it for five years. Hungry performed technical due diligence, liked the code, and acquired Ripe in September 2020.
Snapwire
Snapwire connected Fortune 500 brands (Dell, Starbucks) with on-demand photographers for photoshoots. EltexSoft provided 10 of the 30-person engineering team across 2.5 years: backend, frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, and PM. Millions of images processed through CDN pipelines. ML-powered image tagging and quality scoring. Acquired by StudioNow.
A US-based sports operations platform
A US-based sports operations platform used by 100% of NFL teams and 6,500+ elite sports organizations globally. EltexSoft provided React Native and React engineering capacity. We started on a child product, delivered well, and earned expanded scope onto the main platform. 2+ year engagement. The platform's parent company is valued at over $1 billion.
Unfold
Our senior iOS engineer inherited an unstable Unfold codebase, rebuilt the video rendering pipeline, and shipped one of Apple's Best Apps of 2019. The app was a creative toolkit for Instagram Stories and social media content. Performance issues resolved. Rendering pipeline rewritten. Apple featured the result. Unfold was later acquired by Squarespace.
